I had missed the previous class which left me behind and I struggled to catch up over the weekend. However, today in class I asked a lot of questions and helped out as much as I could as to re-assure my group I was ready to work and put effort in. I now feel I am caught up and our group is on the right track. We found two potential clients that we are going to talk with today and discuss our options. We split up our work and plan to have our proposal ready to go on Thursday. I feel this will be an interesting project and definitely has potential to help these prospect businesses.

During our meeting we discussed possible businesses to contact before our next class. We each took 1 or 2 places and then kept in contact via email about the results of our findings. The next time we meet we plan on compiling our findings and deciding on a business for our proposal.

This week our group brainstormed possible businesses or groups that could use our assistance for the Public Document project. I suggested a local teen help line called the Teen Crisis Line. It is something that could help freshman who are having trouble adjusting to college life or anyone else in need of assistance. Sandeep suggested a dog shelter that he had already contacted, so we decided to go with that. We had a group meeting on Thursday morning in the Mac lab during our normal class time. We discussed our schedules and good times to meet on a weekly basis.

This week during class as we began the Client Based Project my group and I did a lot of brainstorming. After narrowing our possible clients down to two different types of entities (School System or Local Zoo), we created our memo to be handed in during class. Since there was no class on Thursday, we delegated responsibility our to each member to contact some of our potential clients.

This week we were assigned the Client-Based Project. In class on Tuesday Mr. Baker went over everything we would need to do, and assigned our groups. After meeting with my group on Tuesday, I think we have a lot of good ideas and should be able to work together well.

This past week to start off the client based project I brainstormed through clients that I would enjoy working with. When I met with Kenny, Ryan, Alex, and myself, I was pleased to find out that we were grouped together because our discussion board consisted of non-profit organizations as clients. In class we decided to come up with as many ideas as possible to research.

This week we started the Client-Based Service Project, in which we will be choosing a business or organization within the community to develop some type of professional business documents. Our group consists of Isabel, Jacob, Ryan, Joe, and myself. During our initial meeting during Tuesday’s class we all agreed that we all wanted to work on a project for a non-for-profit or charitable organization. We all felt that it would be great to be able to use this project to give back to an organization that helps out our community.

This week started the Client-Based project, which actually seems that its going to be fun because it seems to be related to my minor in Purdue which is marketing and advertising.
This week started by us pitching ideas on digital parlor. I pitched one about a group here at Purdue that needed help with money and volunteers, but on Tuesday Mr. Baker assigned new groups and we decided to go in another direction.
I was like the fact that we get to meet new people for this project. I think it was a great idea to change the groups, even though I liked my group on the previous project.

This week marks the start of the client-based projects. Our group, consisting of Kenny, Michaela, Ryan, and myself, decided that we all wanted to work on a project for a non-for-profit or charitable organization. Tim suggested a few soup kitchens for which we could produce literature. Michaela suggested creating literature to raise the awareness of the Tom’s Shoes program which donates a pair of shoes with every shoe sale.

This week, I spent a lot of time thinking of ideas for a possible client for this project. It was a lot harder than I thought to think of ideas that could work. On Tuesday, we got put into our new groups. I was little sad at first because I really did enjoy working with my group for the white paper project and we got along really well and in the end, I think our project turned out really well. But when I got put into another group, I was excited to work with new people and to get to know more students in this class.
