Since last weekend was October break and most of us were home for the weekend we were unable to meet. We did however work through emails to get our proposal revised and turned in on time. We met on Friday evening so that we could determine the role each team member would play so that we can get our rough draft done on time. As a team we also figured out the exact ways we would do research for our paper and divided up the tasks.

Going through the second week of the white paper project, Boilers Gone Green met on Wednesday to put together the final revisions to our proposal. We all had gone back and done further research so that we could add more information to our proposal. Jennifer had also found some information about how much energy was using on a daily basis. This information will be extremely helpful towards writing our white paper. Jennifer and Kelly also added some more to make our proposal more visually appealing. Our group thus far has been very good about scheduling meetings.

My group met this week to make some changes on our proposition, and we kept in contact via email to set up meetings for next week. We've done very well at keeping a good schedule and at staying on track as far as finishing assignments when everyone is available. I feel I contributed a lot to our final draft, and I appreciate the work that the other members in my group did to help. We are all hard workers, which I love!

This week our group made the neccesary revisions on the white paper to make sure that we are ready to begin drafting. We each determined what our roles will be in the research phase since that is where we are at. During this week, we corrected the proposal and have created a plan to complete the white paper on time. We will be meeting on Tuesday to collaborate our ideas together. Also, we will present any research or information that we found over the past week on Tuesday. We plan to complete the writing of our rough draft on Tuesday evening so we can make any final touches on Wednesday.

This week we figured out what we were doing research on. We assigned each person leadership over one particular subject for which he/she will be responsible. We also agreed to meet on Sunday to figure out the way we will conduct research and start detailing the project.

We met up this week and discussed the areas that we needed to research on. We assigned the writings to each one of us for different sections. We also discussed some ideas on how we are going to research on the topic; whether we needed to do surveys in person or by emails etc. or whether we just needed to go online and get data from various credible resources.

Hatfield_Progress Report 2_021

This week my group got together at our set time, which was Wednesday at 4:15. We discussed different ideas on how to start getting research together for our white paper. We also discussed some of the history of City Bus too. We decided that along with research, we also wanted to survey students on campus, as well as conduct a couple interviews. We want to have interviews with people from City Bus, which has been organized, and next week when we meet we will put together a survey, which will go out to a variety of different people in different locations pertaining the city bus routes.

At the beginning of this week, we communicated through e-mail to revise our proposal. Besides making the grammar corrections that were suggested, we changed a few of our sections to better reflect our plans. Our group got together to meet at 5:45 on Friday (the reason this blog is late) to continue our work on our White Paper project. Prior to the meeting, I did some preliminary research to see if some of our research ideas were even possible to conduct. I discovered that the technology we would need to do the desired tests was out of our reach.

This week my group had a meeting to get our proposal approved and looked over. A few grammar errors were pointed out and changed. Two of our solutions for PUSH improvements were approved, fixing up PUSH and adding Purdue nursing students to the staff and improving the staff that is already there. Our last solution needed to be revised. The original idea was to build a smaller PUSH building by the resdidence halls and to have a bus system that took sick students to and from the PUSH facilities. This solution was too big of a project to accomplish.
